SHAMAN SERIES

La foresta e il bosco sono spazi misteriosi e incantati, altamente simbolici. Qui vivono le creature mitiche che da sempre sollecitano la nostra fantasia. Dal bosco un ongoing proget in cui la “memoria” proiettata nel futuro di icone meticce, testimonia il nostro passato. Attraverso lo sciamanesimo il congiungimento con le forze della natura di “altra realtà” un mondo delle esperienze fatte in trance. Lo sciamano ci protegge e ci guida nei regni multidimensionali mettendoci in guardia su ostacoli e insidie con le forze ostili fornendoci insegnamenti e indicazioni.

Come Picasso e Matisse nella maschera vedo la forza primordiale e una terza dimensione non visiva ma mentale. Ogni immagine della serie Shamman presenta una maschera che non indica né tempo né luogo, ma genera nuove prospettive su chi siamo e da dove veniamo. La maschera si può leggere come mimetizazzione dalla società per rappresentare le forze subnaturali dell'uomo, l'icapacità di essere. L'immagine è priva di contesto, è atemporale per nascondere il male di vivere. La ricerca della natura madre e degli spiriti che la governano, in antitesi al concetto di sfruttamento e maltrattamento.

L'uomo sta piegando la natura al suo fabbisogno esponendoci ad un futuro incerto. Quando immagino il nostro rapporto con la natura ci vedo come su un treno impazzito senza conducente. Sappiamo che dobbiamo cambiare binario ma gli scambi scorrono senza mai biforcarsi.

Shaman Series

​

Forests and woods are mysterious, enchanted and highly symbolic places. Here mythical creatures that have always stimulated our imaginations live. From the woods an ongoing project, in which the “memory” of crossbred icons is projected into the future, bears witness to our past. The union with the forces of nature of “other realities”, a world of experiences encountered in trance, is achieved through Shamanism. The shaman protects and guides us in multidimensional reigns, warning us against obstacles and snares of hostile forces and bestowing us with teachings and enlightment.

As Picasso and Matisse, in the mask I see the primordial force and a third dimension, only seen in your mind’s eye. Each image in the “Shaman” series features a mask which neither indicates time nor place but generates new prospects on who we are and where we come from, in the quest for Mother Nature and the spirits that govern her, in antithesis to the concepts of exploitation and desecration. Man is defiling nature to suit his own needs, exposing us to an uncertain future.
